Business development, M&A and strategy professional, active over 25 years in Asia-Pacific.  Experience covering management consulting and strategy roles, post-merger integration and transformation roles, cross border M&A advisory in a broad range of sectors such as Banking, Fintech, Food&Agri, Resources and consumer goods related segments.

Other than Malaysia he has lived and worked in Indonesia and Australia and did extensive project work in India, Japan, HK, China and Singapore.

His past core employment was with PWC, AT Kearny, Rabobank International and HSBC. However, since 2011 he has focused on a more entrepreneurial career path. Being initially the founding partner of The Jakarta Advisory Group and currently being an affiliate partner with Treleaven Capital Management out of Singapore.

Other than being a running, yoga and golf adept, Karl is also a keen writer and published late 2020 his first spy novel “Live and let live”.

During his almost 20 years in Indonesia he was a long-term board member of the Belgian-Luxemburg-Dutch chamber of commerce (INA) and president of the Belgian-Luxemburg social club (BLIC).

Karl holds a Master of Science in Applied Economics and a Master in International Relations from the Catholic University of Louvain (Belgium).
