Building Malaysia’s Food Security

Building Malaysia’s Food Security: From Farm to Supply Chain Resilience

Food security has become a strategic priority for Malaysia as the country works to build a more resilient food system amid growing global uncertainty. Population growth, climate change, supply chain disruptions, geopolitical tensions and evolving consumer demands have reinforced the need to ensure that food remains available, affordable and accessible.

While Malaysia has achieved notable progress in areas such as poultry and egg production, challenges remain—including reliance on food imports, supply chain efficiency, resource sustainability and long-term resilience.

This discussion brings together government, industry, investment and technology leaders. The session will explore how effective policies, innovative technologies, stronger production capacity, efficient logistics and international partnerships can contribute to a more secure and sustainable food future for Malaysia.

Join us for a Belgian–Malaysian dialogue on how technology, policy, investment and logistics can strengthen Malaysia’s food security. Hear from the Malaysian Ministry of Agriculture and Food Security, Belgian technology providers, international supply chain specialists and investment organizations as they share their perspectives on the opportunities and challenges shaping Malaysia’s food security agenda over the coming decade.
